Air Force One Returns Shortly After Takeoff Due to Electrical Issue

The Air Force One aircraft carrying the US President returned to Joint Base Andrews shortly after takeoff after a minor electrical issue was identified.

According to White House pool reports, the flight crew detected the issue and decided to return as a precaution. The aircraft landed safely at the base, and officials confirmed that no emergency situation occurred.

Authorities stated that the President and accompanying delegation would continue their travel on a different aircraft, and the planned visit to Switzerland would proceed accordingly. The technical issue caused only a brief delay to the schedule.

It was also reported that members of the press onboard experienced a short power interruption in the cabin shortly after takeoff. No official details have been released regarding the technical nature of the malfunction.

The United States Air Force noted that multiple backup aircraft are kept ready for presidential missions and that standard safety and operational procedures were followed in line with established protocols.
